Sport Industry NextGen is the gift that keeps on giving.

As a member of the inaugural group of leaders, the scheme introduced me to some incredibly intelligent, creative, and dedicated people. The year of leadership courses turned professional peers into friends, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. With each year that passes the network expands, and new leaders from different backgrounds breathe fresh energy and passion into the industry.

Bringing people from all corners of the industry together offers a rare but genuine perspective into the challenges and opportunities we collectively face.

It’s no exaggeration to say the course, and people I’ve interacted with as a result of it, has helped keep me motivated and engaged, and committed to challenging and changing the sport industry for the better.

Being part of the Sport Industry NextGen programme has been an invaluable experience that helped not only enhance and progress my existing skills but also to acquire and advance new crucial experiences that contributed towards broadening my outlook and understanding of the potential of positive change through the sports industry.

Having the opportunity to think differently and alongside peers from other areas of sport is a benefit that no other programme really offers. It’s easy to forget how wide ranging the sports industry can be until you’re in a room full of 30 people who have each taken different pathways to get to where they are.

I’m so glad to have pursued this programme. I’ve met such talented individuals that I can now call friends and allies. The leadership training was incredibly useful, and I’ve already started implementing some techniques in my day to day.
