EMG AND GRAVITY MEDIA UNITE

US broadcast services agency EMG and UK media and production company Gravity Media have confirmed a merger.


The new venture, which is yet to be named, will have over 100 outside broadcast trucks and flypacks and 40 studios and production facilities which will span across Europe, the Middle East, United States, and Australia.

Creating one of the world’s largest broadcast technology and production companies, the combined businesses aims to ‘deliver broadcast, technology, production, and post-production solutions across many of the world’s most-watched live events and entertainment programmes, working with the world’s most  renowned production houses and broadcasters.’

The business will have 30 offices across 12 countries, with a total of 2,000 permanent employees.

Shaun Gregory, the current Chief Executive Officer of EMG, will assume the role of Global Chief Executive Officer, leading the group. John Newton, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and majority shareholder of Gravity Media, will be appointed as the Executive Chairman of the newly formed combined group.
