West Ham United women’s team has partnered with intimate hygiene brand Femfresh.
The deal sees Femfresh become the official feminine hygiene partner to the London-based WSL side.
Rebecca Rowley, Head of Partnerships at West Ham United, commented, “The rise of women’s football allows us to tell untold stories and highlight different social issues with our commercial partnerships.
“By partnering with Femfresh, we aim to examine the connection between fitness and intimate hygiene, sparking a conversation that we hope resonates far beyond the pitch.”
EFL League One football club Derby FC has partnered with FanHub.
The deal will see FanHub, a new mobile brand app that provides football fans with recognition and reward for loyalty to their clubs, take up the sponsorship of the men’s first team training wear and matchday warm-up attire for the remainder of the 2023/24 season and the 2024/25 campaign.
FanHub’s Partnerships Manager, Rob Gregory, said: “Coming from a family of Rams myself, it doesn’t get much bigger than a partnership with the club I have loved and followed around the country all my life.
“It’s an especially proud moment for me but everyone at FanHub is very excited to have partnered with Derby County.”
Derby County’s Chief Executive Officer Stephen Pearce said: “We’re delighted to welcome FanHub to the club and look forward to building upon what we’ll be able to do during the latter stages of this season for the 2024/25 season, further improving both supporter engagement and the matchday experience.”
British Olympic athlete Eilish McColgan has penned an endorsement deal with consumer electronics brand Shokz.
The 33-year-old joins the company as a brand ambassador ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where the Commonwealth Games 10,000 metre champion will compete in her fourth edition of the event.
McColgan, commented, “Listening to music whilst I run is a nice way to switch off on some of my easier days and to find some extra motivation when I feel a little tired.
“Due to the nature of Shokz’s open-ear headphones, it helps me stay aware of my surroundings and I feel much safer running outside with Shokz. They feel really comfortable too! I like everything the brand stands for.”
The Ironman Group has agreed a deal with RaceRanger for all of the global triathlon series’ events in 2024.
In triathlon rules, cyclists are not permitted to enter the draft zone area behind the bicycle in front when overtaking.
RaceRanger’s ‘electronic drafting detection technology’ will enable referees to observe when athletes are crossing into the draft zone of other competitors during Ironman Pro Series races throughout the year.
The company’s devices will be placed on the bikes of all Ironman athletes, starting from the 70.3 Oceanside triathlon in California on 6th April.
A new Bobby Moore Sports Hub has opened in Dagenham after receiving a grant from the Premier League, The FA and the Football Foundation.
The new facility has been funded by a £6.2m grant from the Football Foundation, the largest ever grant awarded by the charity, as well as an additional £6.1m investment from Barking and Dagenham Council and a further £1m contribution from the Greater London Authority and the London Marathon Foundation.
Robert Sullivan, Chief Executive of the Football Foundation said, “This fantastic new Hub will not only provide a huge boost to community sport in the area but will also have a transformative impact on physical and mental wellbeing, bringing people together and strengthening the local community here in Dagenham.
“We hope this Hub will not only honour the legacy of several legendary local footballers, but also continue to inspire people of all identities, abilities and backgrounds to lace up their boots.
“Thanks to the investment we receive from our funding partners, the Premier League, The FA and Government, the Football Foundation is working to deliver more Hubs like this across the country so that everyone can have access to great places to play.”
This project is part of the Football Foundation’s Hubs programme, which has already seen 21 multi-pitch sites open across the country.
