SPORTRADAR LAUNCHES NEW TENNIS PRODUCT

Sportradar will debut it latest streaming technology product at the Indian Wells Open, through its partnership with the ATP.


‘Augmented Streaming’ will provide live data metrics such as shot speed and speed of serve throughout the tennis tournament, which will take place between 3rd and 17th March in California.

The sports tech and data firm’s latest product incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies in order to supply live data during match streams.

Live statistics will feature during matches in the form of digital overlays during coverage of the event.

In December, Sportradar signed a multi-year deal with the ATP and Tennis Data Innovations (TDI), a joint venture formed between the global men’s tennis tour and its production subsidiary, ATP Media.

Through the agreement, the Switzerland-based firm holds global data and streaming rights for all ATP Tour events, as it aims to drive gan engagement and commercial growth for the sport.
