ANDY MURRAY SIGNS WITH IMG

Andy Murray has signed a long-term deal with global sports, events and talent management company IMG.

The agreement will see IMG act as the two-time Wimbledon winner’s exclusive commercial representative and ‘manage his career in conjunction with his long-time manager Matt Gentry.’

Murray commented, “I’m looking forward to working with IMG not just for the remainder of my playing career, but with an eye on the future and opportunities both in tennis and in the wider business world.”

Max Eisenbud, SVP, Head of Tennis Clients for IMG, added, “Andy has built a legacy in tennis that has not only shaped the sport but also defined its place in culture. We’re thrilled to have him join the IMG family and work together to expand his reach and influence across multiple businesses.”

As a result of the move, the tennis division of 77 Sports Management, the sports agency co-founded by Andy and Matt, will be disbanded, with increasing focus being shifted to growing the football division at the agency.

The football business currently has clients Ryan Porteous (Watford), Caroline Weir (Real Madrid), Jack Harkness (Rangers), Miller Thomson (Dundee United), Liam McFarlane (Hearts) and Jamie Gullan (Raith Rovers).
