The World Snooker Tour (WST) has signed a five-year technical partnership with UK-based sportswear brand Castore.
The deal, which runs until 2029, designates Castore as the circuit’s official technical partner, and marks its first venture into the snooker market.
Under the agreement, the WST and Castore will launch performance apparel which will feature during select events. Initially, these will include the Riyadh Season World Masters of Snooker (4th – 6th March), and the World Mixed Doubled in Manchester (30th – 31st March).
The collaboration will also see the launch of a new online shop that will offer a variety of co-branded products.
Peter Wright, Chief Commercial Officer of the World Snooker Tour, said, “We are really pleased to be able to announce such an innovative and exciting new chapter for the sport in collaboration with Castore.
“Their rapid rise as a business is inspiring and ties in with our current resurgence and long-term ambitions for the game. We can’t wait to work with the players to develop technical wear which will allow them to continue to excel in their performances and attract a new audience to the sport.”
At present, the brand’s multi-sport partnership roster includes Premier League football clubs Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Wolves, as well a Scottish football giants Rangers, England Cricket, Formula 1’s McLaren and Red Bull racing teams, British tennis icon Andy Murray, and Premiership Rugby outfits Saracens and Harlequins.
