England captain Harry Kane has invested in sustainable performance wear brand Reflo.
The UK brand has raised circa £1m in its first seed funding round with Bayern Munich striker Kane appearing as one of the key investors.
Born in November 2021, Reflo’s performance wear is predominantly made from recycled polyester, derived from single-use plastic waste destined for landfill.
The funding round will support Reflo’s production and business operations, ‘particularly in material sourcing, staff, and production factory choices.’
The agreement also sees the former Tottenham Hotspur forward become Reflo’s golf ambassador with the brand planting 500 trees for every goal that the Bayern Munich and England star scores in the 2023/24 season.
The deal sees Reflo grow it sports partner roster further, which currently includes Extreme E team Veloce in motorsports, Icons Series and WM Phoenix Open in golf.
