Professional boxing promotion Boxxer has announced a partnership with England Boxing.
The deal will see Boxxer, which is exclusive provider of boxing content to Sky Sports, support grassroots-level boxing across the UK.
The two organisations will collaborate to introduce a range of initiatives aimed at encouraging and rewarding involvement in the sport and will see England Boxing clubs and members receive an array of benefits, including free tickets and exclusive members-only events.
Ben Shalom, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BOXXER, said, “This landmark partnership between BOXXER and England Boxing brings together two organisations with a shared vision to promote the sport of boxing to future generations as a space for positive interaction, personal development, social inclusion and healthy living.
“Through this partnership, we hope to inspire and encourage amateur boxing practitioners across the country and use boxing as a vehicle for making a positive impact in the community.”
Avoen Perryman, Head of Operations at England Boxing, added, “I am so pleased to see this partnership come to fruition for the benefit of our clubs and members as well as England Boxing itself. This was a team effort, so I’d like to thank all the staff at BOXXER and Ben Shalom for recognising the vital work our clubs do every week.
“The partnership we have in place with BOXXER is the first of its kind and it’s a pleasure to see the professional ranks actively seeking to ensure that grassroots boxing continues to produce world-renowned boxers for years to come.”
