The R&A has extended its broadcast partnership with Sky Sports through until 2028.


The new deal will see live coverage of The Open, AIG Women’s Open, and elite amateur events remain on the British subscription broadcaster for the next four years.

With the new agreement signed, the R&A will contribute to its ‘commitment to investing £200m in golf over ten years and support development of the sport internationally through its participation initiatives, governance activities, advocacy for sustainability and organising inspirational golf championships.’

As well as coverage of The Open and the AIG Women’s Open, The R&A’s amateur championships and international matches set to feature on Sky Sports include The Amateur, The Women’s Amateur, Walker Cup and Curtis Cup.

The partnership between the pair started in 2016 when The R&A’s professional and amateur championships first featured as part of Sky Sports’ live golf coverage.
