The Sport Industry NextGen 2023 Leaders have been officially announced.
Launched by Sport Industry Group in 2015, NextGen is a prestigious professional development programme that provides the best emerging talent in our industry with a tailored year-long leadership package which includes extensive training, personal development, and networking opportunities.
In 2023, 30 successful applicants will benefit from a programme that spans the calendar year with a special focus on the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social change.
Over the next 12 months, the Leaders will have direct access to some of the brightest minds and best organisations within sport and business through interactive best-practice, learning, and leadership sessions.
Regarding the selection of the 2023 cohort, Sport Industry Group Managing Director, Dylan Pugh, said, “I am delighted to see Sport Industry NextGen’s class of 2023 announced.
In what was a record year for applicants, the selection process has never been so competitive, meaning we have brought together thirty of the most exciting and talented individuals in the sport industry.

Sport Industry Group is also delighted to announce that this year’s programme includes an incredible experience at The Wave – a ‘slice of the ocean’ in Bristol, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the health benefits and pure joy of water and waves. Founded by Nick Hounsfield, the game-changing business has sustainability and positive impact at its heart.
