NSE has partnered with UNiDAYS to announce that the Games Innovation Challenge is back.
The competition, which will be held on the 29th January, will see students at colleges and universities across the UK create a video game from scratch.
The challenge is designed to recognise and reward the talented NSE student community and will welcome an experienced group of judges to select a winner.
Previous iterations of the competition have included representatives from the likes of Epic Games, PlayStation, Unity and Ubisoft.
As well as showcasing their skills to games industry professionals, students will also be competing for a prize pool of £5,000 across seven different categories.
The categories include:
• First Place: Best overall game
• Innovator Award: Best unique features
• Gameplay Guru: Best gameplay
• Design Muse Award: Best visual and audio design
• Technical Genius Award: Best programming and tech optimisation
• Games with purpose: Best game that made a positive social impact
• Commercial Gem: Best marketing plan
