ENGLAND GOLF EXTENDS QUINTA DO LAGO STAY

England Golf has extended its longstanding agreement with the Quinta do Lago golf resort in Portugal.


The new three-year agreement, first established in 2014, sees Quinta do Lago continue as the official warm weather training venue of the national governing body.

As such, the resort will be used used as a training venue for the England Golf National Squads for the duration of the deal.

Nigel Edwards, Performance Director at England Golf, said, “We’re delighted to extend an already long-established relationship with an outstanding venue that supplements the needs of our top amateur players during the winter months, and this relationship will no doubt help drive more international success for our players over the coming years.”

Sean Moriarty, CEO of Quinta do Lago, added, “We are delighted to be extending our long-term collaboration with England Golf and to continue to welcome the best amateur golfers from England to Quinta do Lago through to 2026.

“We offer a choice of three championship golf courses, exclusive use of world-class practice facilities – including the world’s only Paul McGinley Golf Academy – and great year-round weather in the Algarve, making us the ideal location for high-quality winter training camps.”
