Boxing promotor Frank Warren and Queensberry has announced that UK bookmaker Betfred will be the main sponsor of the forthcoming World Heavyweight Championship fight between Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora.
The highly anticipated fight will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on 3rd December.
Fury, the WBC and Lineal heavyweight champion, will be defending his titles against long-standing rival Chisora.
Broadcasting deals have already been secured which include coverage on BT Box Office in the UK and Ireland and ESPN+ in the USA.
Betfred founder, Fred Done, commented, “I am delighted to be title sponsor of this WBC World Heavyweight Championship fight.
“It is the heavyweight division that really captures the attention of both the public and punters alike and I am really looking forward to another great battle between Fury and Chisora at the fantastic Tottenham Hotspur stadium.”
The latest deal strengthens Betfred’s sports sponsorship portfolio, which currently includes the title sponsorship of the Betfred World Matchplay darts tournament until at least the end of 2025.
The bookmaker was also made the principal partner of England’s men’s, women’s, and wheelchair rugby league teams ahead of this year’s Rugby League World Cup in a two-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal, as well as a title sponsorship agreement with rugby league’s top-tier club competition – Super League.
