Intel and NSE, the official body of university esports in the UK, have launched Intel FutureGen for 2024.
The programme will continue to foster ambitious student leaders, helping to develop their skills and enhance their future careers in the games and esports industry.
Now in its fifth year, the Intel FutureGen programme is well established amongst the industry and continues to grow in popularity reaching record applications in the previous year.
Taking place throughout the academic year, the programme is delivered across a mix of digital and physical experiences. The programme includes a series of guest speakers from senior industry leaders plus behind-the-scenes Q&As, access to industry events, workshops, the buddy mentoring system and more.
In addition, many of the wide-ranging training sessions will also be available to everyone in the wider NSE community via online broadcasts.
Applications are open to all students studying full-time at UK universities, giving them the chance to connect with industry experts, gain knowledge, and take steps towards fully realising their potential.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director at NSE, said, “It is a genuine joy to be involved with Intel FutureGen, the latest cohort were once again exceptionally talented and it was truly inspiring to witness their growth. I want to say a massive thank you to all the industry leaders who have played a vital role and in particular Intel whose support has made this programme possible, offering our community of aspiring esports industry professionals a remarkable opportunity.”
Mark Broom, Consumer Client Marketing Specialist at Intel Corporation, said, “We are thrilled to work alongside NSE for the fifth year of Intel FutureGen, continuing to foster the next generation of leaders in the esports and gaming sector.
