Chelsea’s Reece James and Arsenal’s William Saliba have both signed with London-based athlete marketing agency B-Engaged.

The new agreements will see B-Engaged manage all aspects of the footballers’ off-pitch interests, including marketing, media, commercial and philanthropy initiatives. 

Ehsen Shah, CEO of B-Engaged, said, “We have admired both Reece and William from afar for a number of years. They tick all our boxes when looking at adding to our roster. Do we feel they are a world class talent that has the opportunity to do big things off of the pitch? When it’s a yes and you add in their charitable side it really is an exciting proposition.”

Reece James, Chelsea and England defender, added, “I’ve been keen to add to my team for a while and make sure I had the best in class when it comes to my off-field interest. 

“Looking at the work B-Engaged have done with their other athletes, along with their record made them the stand out choice. I’m looking forward to activating some of the plans I’ve had for a long time.” 


Sport Industry Awards partner Sportradar has announced a new agreement with Kindred Group.

Under terms of the new deal, the global sports technology will help the online gambling operator grow its customer base and increase the effectiveness of its advertising spend on social media through the use of Sportradar’s ad:s platform. 

The agreement applies to three of Kindred Group’s flagship brands, 32Red, Unibet and VladCasino.

Warren Boxing Management strikes partnership with Sulim Malook of Win Millions Lotto

Under terms of the agreement, boxers managed by Warren Boxing Management (WBM) will promote Win Millions Lotto to their followers on social media with a proportion of every lottery ticket sold being donated to boxing charities. 

The core aim will be to support young people from disadvantaged areas by encouraging them to take up boxing and enjoy all the benefits the sport offers. Support will also be offered to prodigious boxers, both male and female, who are starting out their careers. 

Sulim Malook, Win Millions Lotto CEO, said, “Our innovative plan means that boxers can use their social media for good. By including a referrer link on their page, they can encourage fans to support their chosen charities and give back to the sport they love. Donations will keep recurring for as long as their fans keep buying tickets, for weeks, months or even years.”

A WBM representative said, “By supporting local boxing charities and young professionals, we believe we can do a lot of good work and provide opportunities for young people in deprived and marginalised communities to enjoy all the positive benefits of the sport. Our stable of boxers are all very excited to be taking part in this project.”


Dan Johnson joins DAZN in Senior Communications Role

Global sports streaming service DAZN has confirmed that Dan Johnson has joined the company as SVP, Group Communications. 

Johnson has previous experience at the Premier League Director of Communications, and Executive Director, Digital, Marketing and Communications for Sport England. He also boasts experience with Dow Jones and the NHS in senior advisory roles. 

Johnson will be supporting Daisy Wells, EVP Group Communications, in delivering and coordinating all aspects of DAZN’s corporate and public affairs, as well as helping ensure that DAZN’s leadership, success and vision has a strong and consistent voice and presence. 

Johnson, said, “It was an easy decision to join DAZN after speaking to Daisy and other senior leaders in the business. Their strategy to use their world-leading tech to deliver sports content and entertainment products on a global scale is compelling, and a story I not only want to help tell but be a part of too. I can’t wait to get properly going.”


The Scottish Premiership football club Hibernian FC has partnered with mental health charity Back Onside, after working with the organisation for the last few years. 

With aligned values surrounding mental health within the football industry, both Hibs and Back Onside will work together to achieve shared goals and promote positive mental health within the club and beyond. 

As part of the partnership, Back Onside will work closely with Hibs management team to support players and staff with their mental health, hold regular changing room chats, host mental health workshops, and provide training such as Mental Health First Aid. 

Hibs will also fundraise for Back Onside throughout the partnership as well as raising awareness.

Libby Emmerson, Back Onside Founder, said, “We are so excited to finally be able to announce our partnership with Hibernian Football Club and are really looking forward to watching it grow. We have been working closely with Hibernian FC over the last few years and knew we shared similar values and goals with the Club when it comes to mental health. We are passionate about making clubs a safe space for players to be able to open up should they need to talk and are delighted to be partnering with our second Scottish Premiership team.”

The stigma around discussing mental health inside football clubs is changing and this is another massive step in the right direction. Sky Sports has renewed its content partnership with Snap, in order to host made-for-mobile content on Snapchat Discover.

In a statement the partnership is described as ‘Sky Sports’ biggest with Snapchat to date’ and will see highlights from every single Premier League football match, Women’s Super League highlights, behind the scenes content and clips from Soccer AM and Monday Night Football published on the broadcaster’s Snapchat channel.
