Sky Sports has announced a new dedicated channel to exclusively show tennis content.
Available across Sky platforms and NOW from 11th February, Sky Sports Tennis is set to show over 4,000 matches across 8 tournaments on the ATP & WTA Tours, as well as full exclusive coverage on the US Open.
The channel has been announced two months after Sky agreed a five-year broadcast partnership with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
The UK pay-subscription broadcaster previously owned the rights to the ATP Tour between 2002 and 2018 and will take over the coverage from Amazon Prime.
Jonathon Licht, Managing Director of Sky Sports, said, “It’s an exciting moment for Sky Sports as we launch a new home for tennis fans, and Sky Sports Tennis will give millions of homes easy access to watch the best players in the world all year round. We’re proud to be the undisputed home of live sport for fans in the UK and Ireland, and this new channel will add value for our customers, enabling them to enjoy even more of the sports they love.”
