talkSPORT has acquired the radio broadcast rights to the Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
As per the two-year deal, talkSPORT2 will receive exclusive live commentary of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship and Betfred World Matchplay. The station will also share updates from other Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events.
This year marks the seventh year that talkSPORT2 has broadcast the Championships with coverage beginning from 15th December.
Matt Porter, Chief Executive Officer of PDC, said, “The talkSPORT2 live commentary of PDC events has been really well-received. It’s great to be working with talkSPORT for the next two years, with their coverage helping to provide another avenue for sports fans to follow our biggest events.”
Kathryn Anastasi, Deputy Head of talkSPORT, added, “The festive season on the talkSPORT network is sparkling with sporting treats, including over fifty live football commentaries and England’s cricket tour of the West Indies. The Paddy Power World Darts Championship is a long-standing and important part of our seasonal offering and we are delighted that darts on the radio will be returning to talkSPORT2 for the next two years.”
