Ahead of the Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup, Sky Sports Golf has challenged some of Britain’s well-known athletes and golf influencers to face the first hole.

Presented by Ryder Cup-winning player and captain Paul McGinley, alongside Solheim Cup veteran and two-time winning captain Catriona Matthew, the challenge involved testing the skills and mental strength of the participants, under the pressure of Sky Sports commentators and pundits Tim Barter, Rich Beem, Iona Stephen, and Henni Koyack.

In this one-hole challenge, golf influencers Mia Baker and Seb Carmichael-Brown captained team Europe and team USA which include cricketers Ollie Robinson and Sam Billings, rugby star Dylan Hartley, footballers Ray Parlour and Tim Sherwood, along with golf influencer Chloe Gallacher.

The Solheim Cup was retained by Europe after securing a first-ever tie, 14-14, with the United States. The Ryder Cup begins on the 29th September.
