Darts management agency ZXF Sports Management has hired communication specialists Soapbox London to manage PR for 16-year-old darts sensation Luke Littler.
The agreement will also include several ZXF’s other top darts talents, including Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey.
In collaboration with Littler’s manager and ZXF founder Martin Foulds, Soapbox is set to help manage the unprecedented surge in media attention surrounding Luke, following his second-place finish at the World Darts Championships earlier this month.
The partnership aims to execute ‘a long-term PR and digital strategy for the next phase of Lukes career’.
Rowan Wilkinson, Managing Partner, Soapbox, said, “Rarely does a sporting story cut across the major news and cultural agenda as much as Luke’s World Championship performance. His unbelievable natural talent and down to earth personality re-ally captured the country’s imagination and makes him one of Britain’s most exciting young sporting talents.”
“ZXF lead the way in darts player management and we’re hugely excited to work with Martin and the team to provide PR support for the next stage of Luke’s journey and work closely with Nathan and Chris to capitalise on the brilliant work Matt Porter and the PDC have done to elevate darts to it’s current standing.”
Martin Foulds, founder of ZXF, added, “We are really excited to be working with such a well run and renowned PR agency in Soapbox. Speaking to leading names within the industry Soapbox were highly recommended and we believe opportunities for our players will only be enhanced with this new relationship.”
“With Soapbox dealing with the players’ media requests, it frees up my time to do what I do best and concentrate on the day to day needs of my players. Especially Luke who is entering a new stage of his career on and off the oche. These really are exciting times ahead and I cannot wait to see what 2024 brings for all our players.”
