The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) will stage its first fully-televised women’s tournament this summer, with the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay set to be broadcast on Sky Sports.

The eight-team competition will take place on 24th July at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.


IMG has been awarded a two-year contract to produce UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4’s coverage of the Betfred Super League.

Channel 4 will show 10 matches live per season plus highlights of the Grand Final for the next two years of the rugby league competition, with IMG opening a new office in Leeds to work specifically on the coverage.


Erica Kerner has been appointed as SailGP’s new Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

Kerner, who was previously SVP, Head of Marketing Strategy and Partnerships at the ONE Championship Asia-focused mixed martial arts organisation, will focus on growing SailGP’s profile as the racing league prepares for the start of its third season in May.


Ian Campbell, a former senior executive at digital sports media company Perform and the PA Sport agency, has been appointed by epa to drive the visual content provider’s business in the sports sector.

The company, founded as the European Pressphoto Agency in 1985, has a global network of 130 photographers and videographers, with sport currently accounting for some 40% of its overall output.
